Women make up half of the population in Nigeria and yet have less than 8% representation in leadership positions in the country. To increase the number of women in leadership positions both in public offices and within party structures, Community Life Project (CLP) organised a 3-Day training from September 25 to 27, 2014 for Community and Grassroots Women Leaders, Community Development Officers and Media Practitioners drawn from the 30 Local Government Areas in Osun state.

INEC declares Aregbesola Winner in Osun Governorship Election
INEC declared Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola winner of the Osun State Governorship Election held on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Aregbesola polled 394,684 votes from 22 LGAs to beat his closest rival, Senator Iyiola Omisore who polled 292,747 votes from 8 LGAs.

National Summit on Impunity in Nigeria

Nigeria (S.I.N) Campaign held a National Summit on Impunity in Nigeria on June
24 and 25, 2014 and brought together State and Non-state actors participating
in the event. The workshop took place at the Zuma Hall of Rockview (Royale) Hotel in
Abuja with parallel and group sessions held in Amaechi Hall as well.

Mobile Apps Training for ReclaimNaija Election Observers
ReclaimNaija partners with Yar'adua Foundation to train ReclaimNaija accredited Observers on the use of a mobile apps for Election Monitoring and Reporting. ReclaimNaija is set to cover all the 177 Wards in Ekiti State during the Ekiti Governorship Election coming up on Saturday, June 21, 2014. These monitors have been provided with smart phones loaded with an Election Reporting Apps to aid their quick reporting of events as they happen in the field.

ReclaimNaija Trains Election Observers for the Ekiti Governorship Election
As #EkitiDecides on Saturday, June 21, Community Life Project (CLP) trains Election Observers in partnership with Justice, Development and Peace Initiative, Ekiti. These Observers, who have been accredited by INEC has been assigned to different wards to monitor election activities and report to the reclaimnaija.net platform in real time. Reports that require urgent intervention is transmitted to INEC to enable them troubleshoot.
